A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she took immense pride in the home and life she built, and in the children she raised with steadfast love and gentle guidance. A faithful parishioner of St. Malachy Catholic Church for more than fifty years, Eleanor lived her life with honesty, kindness, and generosity. Her quiet strength and genuine compassion touched everyone who knew her. As a child, Eleanor dreamed of becoming a singer. She took lessons and filled her home with music throughout her life, especially the Elvis songs she adored. Her proudest moments were the day she married her beloved husband and the days their children were born, blessings she treasured every single day. Eleanor found joy in life’s simple pleasures like bowling with friends, planting flowers in the garden she tended so carefully, and feeding the birds and squirrels that gathered in her yard. She loved her home deeply, spending more than five decades making it a place of warmth, comfort, and welcome. Family traditions were at the heart of her happiness. She especially looked forward to Christmas, a season she made magical, and to annual apple-picking trips with her family. She also cherished vacations together, trips to Las Vegas and family cruises that created memories she carried close.
Eleanor is the beloved wife of 65 years to Thomas Quintal. The loving mother of Cynthia (Brian) Babin, Michael (Christina) Quintal, Michelle Berger, and David (Shannon) Quintal.
