Emma F. Matzunsky, 82, of Warren, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren. She was born May 6, 1923 in Czechoslovakia. Emma grew up in Germany, where she married her husband Max and had her two children. In 1951 she and her family made the move to the United States. Emma enjoyed bowling and played on a league for years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the German Haus. Baking was her favorite hobby. At Christmastime Emma would bake enough cookies to feed the whole city. She also loved her garden, especially the flowers. Every summer she canned the fresh vegetables that she grew. Crafting was another hobby Emma enjoyed. She would make pillows and crochet, she was most famous for her slippers. Emma was an incredibly hard worker. Emma is survived by her children, Gustav (Betty) Schindler and Dorit (Avery) Campbell; grandchildren, David (Janet), Greg (Patty, Steve (Tori) and Mark; great grandchildren, Miranda, Greg, Nick, Brian and Mayce. She is preceded in death by her husband, Max. Visitation for Emma will be Friday 1-4 and 6-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 Mile)
