

Eugenie E. Lossick, "Jeanie," age 78, died Friday, October 3, 2014 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Eugenie was born May 10, 1936 in Highland Park, Michigan, daughter of the late Stephen Farco and the late Hortense (nee: Stevens) Farco.Jeanie was raised in Detroit and graduated from Pershing High School. She worked for J.L. Hudson's Department Store in Detroit and later married. Jeanie and her late husband, Donald settled in Warren where they raised their three daughters and did their best to nurture the warmth and comfort of a loving home. While Jeanie was a young mother, she worked caring for young children at Children's Wonderland Daycare, and also in the cafeteria for Fitzgerald Schools. Additionally, Jeanie worked as an election inspector during the voting sessions, however her greatest accomplishment was in being a "Stay at Home" Mom.When Jeanie was home, she was the consummate wife and mother, keeping a tidy home and cooking wonderful dishes including spaghetti and chicken soup for her daughters. Her family also remembers and reflects on the joys and bounty that accompanied Mom's big Thanksgiving meals. After her children were grown, her attention was spent on the grandchildren and her cherished cats. Jeanie enjoyed her trips to the casinos or out shopping with family and friends. Jeanie was the beloved wife of the late Donald Lossick, and is the dear mother of Pam (Bill) Bauer, Loretta (Mike) Krozek, Suzie (Ed) Turowski. She was also the loving sister of Nancy (Tim) Oparka, and is also survived by her best friend Shirley Malinowski. Mrs. Lossick was the cherished grandmother of Jaime Serra, Eric (Chrissy) Bauer, Marci (Tollen) Ebens, Eric (Lacey) Turowski, Brandon (Nicole) Harper, Jeff (Giuseppa) Turowski, Jason (Kristen) Krozek, Chris Harper, and great-grandmother of Anthony, Blake, Beckett, Jake, Kinley, Lucas, and Salvatore.Visitation for Jeanie will take place on Sunday, October 5th from 4-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 1/2 mile). Funeral Services will be held Monday, 10am at the Funeral Home. Please share memories of Jeanie at her memory book.
