Eve Helen Bell, age 88 of Warren, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren. She was born November 2, 1927 in Detroit, daughter of the late Maurice and the late Magdalena (nee: Rumple) Sturm.Eva was born and raised in Detroit, and growing into adulthood found her venturing out into the waters of entrepreneurialism by becoming the owner & proprietor of a local Detroit bar. It was a watering hole where many came to enjoy the anticipatory mix of drink & friendship, and Eva knew how to keep 'em comin' back. Though she waited beyond the years when most were getting married in the day, Eva's wait was well worth the measure of time,…as it was at the age of 30, in 1957, that she married the man who swept her off her feet, Mr. Louis Bell. The two lovebirds went on to share 29 wonderful years together until his passing in 1986.When she wasn't working outside of the house, Eva found great fulfillment in working with her hands on the various crafting projects she enjoyed so well. She possessed a genuine creativity which produced some rather unique pieces, all of which were an exemplification of her talents. Eva will also be remembered for her love of reading. An avid bookworm, she often found the solace of curling up with a good book the perfect medicine for a long and demanding day,…or the simply joy of turning the pages somewhere fun while on one of her many travels. Yes, Eva loved to travel as well and was blessed to have visited some noteworthy and scenic delights throughout the years. But of all the little escapes and "flights of fun" she enjoyed the most, hittin' the casino was right there towards the top of Eva's list. Though it can be a little nerve-racking at times, there's also something uniquely special and invigorationg about giving Ol Lady Luck a run for her money,…especially when you're winning!Yet family trumped everything in Eva's life. Spending time with them and making the memories to last a lifetime meant the world to her,…and now she leaves her loved ones with those memories to embrace with each reflection shared. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Eva was the beloved wife of the late Louis. Dear sister of Fred (Karen) Sturm, and preceded in death by 11 other siblings. She was a cherished aunt to Donna Adams, and is also survived by a host of other loving nieces, nephews and cousins.Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & sons Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan. Please share memories of Eva at her memory book above.
