Gabrielle Denise Rocca

Gabrielle Denise Rocca, age 23, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Florida. Gabrielle was born March 10, 1994 at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Francis "Frank" Rocca and Julianne (nee: Williamson) Rocca.Gabrielle was raised in Warren, Michigan where she attended Westwood Elementary, Warren Woods Middle School, and later graduated from Warren Woods Tower High School, the graduating Class of 2012. As a young girl she was active in dance, soccer, tennis, and an overall fiesty little girl who was fearless and did things her "own way".Following high school, Gabrielle continued her education, first becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant, and later studying at Macomb Community College in healthcare where she achieved Dean's list accolades and acceptance into the scholastic Honor Society. From the time she was a little girl, Gabrielle was the consummate caregiver. During the funeral of her sister Christina, while she herself was a little girl, Gabrielle was caring and taking care of her father, watching over him during his grief. She was loyal to her core and would try to help anyone in need.Following her education, Gabrielle worked for Attendant Care Professional Health Care services and also worked for Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Gabrielle was so highly regarded for her care of patients that the owner of her company requested her services to care for his father. A dedicated and very hardworking individual, at times Gabrielle worked for over 24 hours during her overlapping employment shifts.Outside of work, Gabrielle was passionate in every endeavor she chose to focus on. She cherished her Mother, Nana, family, and siblings, and spent every other minute with her best friend and confidant, cousin Alyssa. The two were kind of like Thelma and Louise who could make fun out of every situation and sometimes find a little trouble in between. She was a loyal and faithful friend as long as you did not cross her,...and if you did, watch out because Gabrielle would give it to you. Gabrielle loved going on vacations and visiting warm locations by the ocean. One of her most favorite trips was to Disney World which exposed the deep inner side of Gabrielle as a person with a tough exterior and the soul of a little girl. Even so, the little girl in her had a wicked sense of humor who loved scary movies and crime series, especially Law and Order. Gabrielle enjoyed hanging out with her family and friends, and always seemed to be wearing leggins. In addition to her love of family, she also loved animals and her dog, Roscoe.Gabrielle was the cherished daughter of Julianne (Jason) Coleman and Francis "Frank" Rocca. She was the dear sister of Rosalind (Evan) Topor, Adam Rocca, Isabella Rocca, and the late Christina Rocca. Gabrielle was the granddaughter of Kathy (Lou) Sleeman, Maria (the late Pasquale) Rocca and the late Dennis Williamson. She was the loving niece of Rose Gestrich, Lorraine Raper, Denise Kanapsky, David Williamson, Michael Rocca, and John (Helen) Rocca. Gabrielle was also the best friend and cousin to Alyssa Cantrell and further survived by many other loving relatives and friends.Visitation for Gabrielle will be held Sunday, February 18th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren. Her Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 19th at the Funeral Home.Memorial donations, in Gabrielle's name, may be made out to Julianne Rocca, c/o Temrowski Funeral Home.
