

George was born in Detroit and grew up all over the state. He dedicated over 40 years of his life to his career as a pattern maker and foreman, showcasing his unwavering dedication and expertise. In 1986, George married the love of his life, JoAnn, and the two were inseparable.
George had a deep appreciation for nature, often hiking in the serene beauty of northern Michigan. His passion for the outdoors extended to his fascination with the diverse world of birds, as he could enchant anyone with his knowledge about them.
At home, George’s green thumb thrived as he tended to his beloved garden, nurturing life from the soil and finding solace in its growth. He cherished moments spent with his family, proving himself as the best husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother anyone could hope for.
George leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and an unwavering bond with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
George was the beloved husband of JoAnn. Loving father of the late Penny (Vic) Christe, George (Michelle) May, Gerald (the late Danielle) May, Winde (Steve) Sullivan, Scott (Joann) May, and Christopher (Lil A.) May. Adored grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Harriet (Monte) Alkire.
A Memorial Visitation for George will be held on Friday, October 20th from 12pm until the time of his Funeral Service at 1pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common Road (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren.
