George is a proud veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. He was a parishioner at Warren Missionary Baptist Church for 20 years.
George is the beloved husband of 54 years to Linda Sawyer. Loving father of Tracy (Steven) Jankowski and James Sawyer. Cherished grandfather of Cody Jankowski, Alexander Sawyer, Natalie Sawyer, Connor Jankowski, and Caitlin Jankowski. Dear brother of John (the late Nancy) Sawyer and the late Richard (the late Nadine) Sawyer. Cherished son of the late Elaine Sawyer. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, from 4PM until 8PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Instate will be held this Saturday, March 4, from 10AM until the time of the funeral service at 11am at Warren Missionary Baptist Church, 11285 East 10 Mile Road, in Warren.
