Gilbert A. Pareyt

Gilbert A. Gil Pareyt, age 63 of Warren, died Wednesday, March 03, 2004 at St. Joseph of Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Mr. Pareyt was born December 17, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Albert A. Pareyt and the late Violet (nee: Goethals) Pareyt. Survivors include his wife Denise (nee: Manzo) Pareyt. Father of Janice Pareyt, Debra Platt, Lisa (Scott) Hrabcak, Jennifer Pareyt, and Christina Pareyt. Loving grandfather of Emily Platt, and Laine & Jared Hrabcak. Brother of Nadine (Ted) Winiarski. Son in-law of Ann Manzo. Mr. Pareyt graduated from Austin Preparatory in Detroit class of 1958. During his young years Mr. Pareyt worked as a meat cutter at his fathers store, Pratts Fine Meats and Market in Detroit. He moved to Warren over 31 years ago, and worked for several auto dealerships, and worked the last 17 years for Arnold Automotive Group. Mr. Pareyt was very active with his church St. Edmunds, belonging to the Christian Service Commission. Mr. Pareyt also loved old cars attending car shows and also doing home improvement projects. Mr. Pareyt will be remembered by his wife as a devoted father and husband who adored his grandchildren, and had a special place in his heart for his dog Cassidy. Visitation will be Friday 2-9 pm at the funeral home, with a Rosary Friday 7:00 pm. Closing prayers will be Saturday 11:30 am from the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile), to St. Edmund Catholic Church for Mass of the Christian Burial 12 noon. Officiating the funeral will be Rev. Robert Witkowski.
