Gladys (nee: Barszczowski) Makowski, age 83, of Warren, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at her home in Warren, surrounded by her loving family. Gladys was born March 31 1925 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Thomas Barszczowski and the late Sophia (nee: Kokoszka) Barszczowski. Gladys loved to cook for her family and friends. Her main job in life was to raise her loving children and to keep the old man in line. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grand children. She was the loving mother of Rodney (Rodena) Makowski, Joseph (Barbara) Makowski, Stanley Makowski, Marlene Makowski, and Patricia (Daniel) Hugelier. Devoted grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 15, and great-great grandmother of 5. Visitation will be held for Mrs. Makowski on Sunday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). Funeral Mass for Gladys will be Monday at 11:00 am at St. Louise Catholic Church, 2500 12 Mile Road, Warren. Burial for Mrs. Makowski will be held privately on Tuesday at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Please share memories of Mrs. Makowskis at her guest book.
