Glenn Joseph Barba

Glenn Joseph Barba, age 90 of Warren, died Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the Warren Campus of Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital. He was born November 19, 1929 in Detroit, son of the late William Daniel and the late Florence Catherine (nee: Weinand) Barba.

Glenn was the beloved husband of Estelle Elizabeth (nee: Kreim), and dearest father of Douglas (Heidi) Barba, Gregory (the late Sandra) Barba, Andrew (Francine) Barba, and Daniel (Phyllis) Barba. Loving grandfather of Nathan, Kyle, Hailey (Jesse), Nicholas, Noah, Suzanne, Claire, Rachel, Jacob, and Colleen. Brother of Donald (the late Leona) Barba and Owen (Jackie) Barba.

After graduating from high school in 1947, Glenn worked on the assembly line for Chrysler before serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the war, Glenn earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Detroit and rejoined Chrysler, now serving as a Certified Public Accountant until his retirement at age 59. As a soldier in the U.S. Army, Glenn served our country with pride.

Glenn enjoyed family vacations and spending time in the outdoors boating, camping and skiing with his family. Known for his generosity, integrity and honesty, Glenn was always someone you could count on when going through life's many ups and downs. Glenn was faithful to his church, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to his family, with whom he leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories for all who were blessed to know him and be loved by him.

A Funeral Service for Glenn will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 3rd at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. The family welcomes guests from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
