Gloria Frances (Hadella) Koja, age 87 of Roseville, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, in Warren, Mich. Gloria was born September 19, 1929 in Detroit, daughter of the late Andrew and late Clara Hadella. Her husband, Bruno Koja, predeceased her in 2006. She is the dear mother of Christine Koja and Kathe (Rick Lieder) Koja, and the loving grandmother of Aaron Mustamaa. She had a gift for friendship, a fervent Catholic faith, and her family was her greatest joy. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, she loved many and was well-loved in return. She took a special delight in children who were always drawn to her. Feisty, hard-working, and creative, no task daunted her. From the factory work she took on as a young woman, to raising her family, to the one-of-a-kind dolls and costumes she devised and made alongside her daughter Christine, she brought her best to whatever she tried. Her life was full and busy, and she met its varied challenges with humor and energy. When ill health limited her world, she made the best of what was possible for as long as possible,...and when she left, she left in peace. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 9th at 10:00 am at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 16359 Frazho Road, Roseville, Michigan 48066.Interment will follow at St. Clement Cemetery in Center Line, Michigan.Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S.
