

Grace Jane Pierce - Loftus, age 88, a longtime resident of Warren, Michigan, died Monday, February 2, 2015 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. Grace was born March 14, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Paul Lademan and the late Elizabeth (nee: Konen) Lademan.Grace and Chuck, her first husband of 37 years, were proud members of Oakland Hills Country Club. She was a woman who always took great pride in her appearance and enjoyed dolling herself up. She would never leave the house without having her hair and makeup done to perfection. Grace devoted her life to her loved ones, with some of her favorite times being the wonderful family picnics, and the festive Christmas Eve's at her mom and dad's. She also enjoyed the host of friendships made in her 88 years, but none were more cherished than the many Catholic priest's whom she was privileged to call her friends. Grace was a regular attendee of Mass, a time of reflection she truly enjoyed. Grace was a woman who wasn't afraid to have a good time,...often including some of her favorites such as singing, dancing, and playing pinochle with family and friends. Grace was also quite fond of the many family trips and outings she shared with loved ones, especially when those travels ended up at the casino. And for an extra-special pleasure, it meant packing the bags and heading west to the entertainment mecca of Las Vegas. Giving Ol' Lady Luck a run for her money was never more enthralling then amidst the glitz & glamour of the Casino Capital of the world,...her home away from home.Grace was the beloved wife of the late Charles "Chuck" Pierce, and the late James Loftus. She is the dear mother of David (Susan) Pierce and Mark Pierce. Cherished sister of Florence Raab and sister-in-law of Frank Paul .She was also the loving grandmother of Tim (Michele) Pierce, Bridget Pierce, Ashley Pierce, and Alexis Pierce Further survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at St. Blase Catholic Church, 12151 15 Mile Road in Sterling Heights on Saturday, February 7th from 9:00 am until the time of her Memorial Mass at 9:30 am.
