Gregory L. Sweet, age 52 of Detroit, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Detroit Receiving Hospital.He was born on September 15, 1960 in Detroit, son of Donald and the late Adeline (nee: Stumkat) Sweet.Loving son of Donald (Paulette) Sweet, and the late Adeline (the late Jim) North. Beloved father of Kandise (Brian) Crocket. Dear brother of Kenneth Sweet, the late Brian Sweet, Randall (Karen) Sweet, and Kelly Fisher. Uncle of Shelby Sweet, Megan Sweet, Tara Sweet, Ryan Sweet, Richard Conte, and Chad (Crissy) Conte, Christa Shaw, Katelyn Fisher, and Emily Ervin. Also survived by former wife, Sondra, as well as several aunts and uncles. Visitation for Greg will be held on Wednesday, January 9th from 3-7pm, with a 7pm Funeral Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road). Officiating his service will be Pastor A.C. Phipps. Interment, with Military Honors, will take place at 1:00pm on Thursday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road in Holly, Michigan.Memorial donations are welcomed to: Life Challenge, 17667 Pierson St., Detroit, MI 48219.
