

Herman M. Greve, 83, of Warren died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Detroit. He was born March 3, 1923 in Detroit to Herman and Clara Greve. Herman grew up in Detroit, but as a child he and his family vacationed near Roger City. During these vacations he became friends with Ruth Flemming who would later become his wife. They married in 1946 after he returned from serving in the Army during WWII. After many years of loyal service Herman retire from Uniroyal Tire where he worked in the research and development department. Some of Hermans favorite pastimes were deer hunting, gardening and fixing things. He loved to spend time in the northern woods. He was very involved with his church, holding several offices over the years. His last job at the church was bringing tapes of services to shut-ins who were unable to attend the weekly services. He would sit with them a visit. Herman loved the Lord and faithfully served Him all his life. Herman is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth; children Ronald (Delia), Kevin and Alison (Steve) Werner; grandchildren, Daniel, Laura, Sarah, Bethany and Noah; and brother, Claire (Barbara). Visitation for Herman will take place Tuesday, June 27 from 2-8 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 Mile). Wednesday He will be in state at 10:00 am until the time of service, 11:00am at Peace Lutheran Church, 11701 E. 12 Mile, Warren, MI 48093. The service will be officiated by Pastor Wilton Fluegge. Memorial donations are appreciated to Peace Lutheran Church.
