Jacqueline Rose Andrusz, age 60 of Shelby Township, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. She was born October 8, 1960 in Detroit, daughter of the late Edward and the late Nadine (nee: Fotyniuk) Michaelson.
Known affectionately to all as a very caring, empathetic and compassionate person, it only makes perfect sense that Jackie would elect to follow the path of nursing for her vocation. So following the attainment of her Associate Degree, that’s exactly the plan she chose which ultimately led to a successful career as a Registered Nurse at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. There Jackie was able to extend the best of herself,…not only through the concentrated training she received, but also through the natural skills that were a vital part of who she was inside. In her own unique way, Jackie made a huge difference in so many lives and was often an integral aspect to the healing of which she was a large part. Many people walked out of those hospital doors in a much better state of being because of the compassion that emanated from Jackie’s soul.
When work wasn’t calling, that often afforded Jackie the opportunity of enjoying one of her favorite pastimes,…decorating! Whether it was her house, a friend’s house, or most anything that could benefit from Jackie’s special touch,…she was on top of it. With an eye for style and a knack for embellishing, Jackie could take a Motel 6 and make it look like a Ritz Carlton in the snap of her fingers. She was imbued with an artistic flair that made pretty appear elegant, and common seem regal. Of course, it was all generated from the beauty inside that simply came naturally.
Possessing an easy-going character, entertaining herself could easily be achieved by a simple walk on the beach. Jackie appreciated the beauty of nature, and often found sweet release in its majesty and splendor. It’s amazing how leaving your footprints in the sand as the water caresses your toes can soothe the soul,…but it does!
Another source of Jackie’s sweet release was witnessed any time you saw her with her dogs, Cinnamon & Moxie. Derived from the Daisy Dog breed, they were a cuddly mix of Poodle, Bichon Frise and Shih Tzu all wrapped up in one,…and always ready for affection. Jackie loved animals, especially dogs,…and most especially hers. They were the joy of her life, and she was the perfect “Fur Mama” for her cuddly canines.
Along with being a caring person, Jackie was also known for being exceptionally thoughtful as well. Always putting others ahead of herself, she loved giving gifts,…especially when they were of the “no occasion” variety. Kind of like a year-round Mrs. Santa Claus, it wasn’t uncommon for her to bless you with something from her warm and selfless heart. And quite often her biggest benefactors were the precious kids in her life. Whether she was vacationing with them, sharing an activity with them, or simply enjoying their company, the kids in Jackie’s life were always an incredible source of strength, joy and love,…and each moment spent with them was a little taste of Heaven. She lived to make the special memories that bound them together, and together they built quite the “portfolio of pleasure” to reflect upon.
Jackie touched a multitude of hearts and souls in her journey through life, and leaves a wonderful legacy of love and care for those to embrace who were blessed to know her,…no matter the circumstance or capacity. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.
Jackie was the beloved mother of Katherine and Ryan Andrusz. Dear sister of Sharon (Wally) Pipp and Karen (Raymond) Lopez-Hillenbrand. Loving aunt of Parker, Mitchell, Walt, and Brandon.
