James William Battle

James William Battle, "Jim" age 57 of Warren formerly of Hazel Park, died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at St. John Macomb Hospital Center in Warren. Mr. Battle was born October 27, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Herman Battle and the late Dorothy (nee: Rhodes) Battle. He is survive by his wife of 10 years, Tina (nee: Curtis) Battle. Beloved son of the late Herman & Dorothy Battle. Also survived by many family members & friends who loved him and will miss him. Jim was a Navy Veteran from the Vietnam War. After the war Jim went to work for the Detroit Newspapers for more than 25 years in the paper handling area. He also worked for AAA in their travel department and recently received a degree from Dorsey Business School. Jim enjoyed camping, cruising, traveling, and previously belonged to the Puddle Jumpers Family Camping and RV club. He and his wife traveled around the country as well as abroad, traveling to the carribean island of St. Martin, going to Alaska on a cruise, and during his military service he traveled to Japan and the Philipine Islands. Jim also cherished his family, the Detroit Red Wings, and tinkering with computers. Visitation Tuesday 5-9 pm and Wednesday 2-9 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be Thursday 11:00 am at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile). Officiating the funeral will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny. Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery.
