

James Elliott Menozzi age 74 died Monday July 22, 2013 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township Michigan. James was born May 14, 1939 in Detroit Michigan the son of the late Joseph Menozzi and the late Maxine (nee: Wesley) Menozzi.James was raised in Detroit and graduated from Pershing High School. He later served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. Following his honorable discharge James returned to Michigan and went to work for the Detroit Free Press as a mailer. Mr. Menozzi worked for the Free Press for over 40 years until the strike forced him to move on to the Macomb Daily where again he worked as a mailer for over 10 years until his retirement. When James was not working his family was the center of his universe... He cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren. He had a passion for eating black licorice and watermelon. His wife remembers him as always tinkering and puttzing around the house, constantly fixing things. James also loved to camp with his family and ride his bicycle. He will be remembered by all as a kind gentle helpful person who was greatly loved by his family and all that he met.James was the beloved husband of Diane Menozzi, and the dearest father of James (Staci) Menozzi, Diane (Paul) Billock, and Denise (Kenneth) Kreft. He was also the cherished grandfather of Ian, Henry, Paulie, Morgan, Emma, and Dalana.A Memorial visitation will be held Monday July 29th from 4-8pm with a 7pm Prayer Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile).
