In August of 1947, Jean took that fateful walk down the aisle to join the love of her life, Percy, in holy matrimony. They shared over 50 years of marriage with one of the most tender moments being able to celebrate their Golden Anniversary together. Jean was a dedicated wife and mother, and was an integral part in the raising & nurturing of ten wonderful children. Family was one of her greatest treasures, and she always looked forward to spending time with her loved ones during the holidays.
When it came to Jean's talents and creativity, her handiwork shined through the artistry of the items she crocheted over the years. She was known as a dedicated Detroit Tigers fan, avid reader, and a meticulous housekeeper. Jean also enjoyed playing cards and knitting.
Jean's life was a full & memorable one. With her children, their spouses, and a host of grandchildren, she touched the hearts of each and every one of them and leaves behind a storehouse of treasured moments to be cherished and coveted.
Jean was the devoted wife of the late Percy. Dear mother of Denise Marlow, Carol (Terry) Bonkowski, Alan, Neal (Eileen), Martin, Patrick, Thomas (Heather), Lori, and the late Gary, and Randy Bond. Loving grandmother of Warren, Sara, Cassie, Jessica, Justin, Janay and the late Jaylen. Great grandmother of Sabastian, Damian, Peter, Nathan, and Ethan. Sister of LaVonne, Norine, Doug (Penni), Richard (Lois), and the late Marilyn.
She will lie in state on Friday, February 21st from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church – St. Clement Campus in Center Line. Burial will immediately follow the services at St. Clement Cemetery behind the church.
