

Jean F. Petty, age 71, died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at St. John Macomb Hospital Center in Warren. She was born January 6, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Harold Andreas and the late Mary (nee: Nowosielska) Andreas. Mrs. Petty is survived by her husband Johnny Morgan Petty, and her daughter, Colleen Syluk-Nelson (Thomas W. Nelson). Also surviving are her granddaughter, Morgan Jean Syluk, and her sister Myrtle Bogacki. Mrs. Petty graduated Northeastern High School in Detroit, and went on to attend Grace Nursing College of Wayne State University, where she attained her Registered Nursing Diploma. She later worked for Detroit Memorial Hospital, Metropolitan Hospital, and finally Childrens Hospital of Detroit, all as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Petty will be remembered by her daughter as a caring and loving mother who enjoyed cooking and caring for her husband and family. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening and her soap operas on TV. Visitation for Mrs. Petty will be Sunday February 22nd; from 2-9 pm. Mrs. Petty will lie in state at 9 am on Monday February 23rd at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, until the time of the Mass of the Christian Burial at 9:30 am. Officiating the funeral will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
