Jeannette S. Brooks

Jeannette S. Brooks, age 64, of Eastpointe, Michigan passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022. Jeannette was born January 17, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, to her loving parents the late Gerald and the late Jean Stronski.

Jeannette loved the outdoors and loved to be surrounded by nature. She would go on trips to go pheasant hunting or fishing and even if she did not catch anything, she enjoyed watching all the wildlife. Even at home, she brought nature to her. She had a beautiful garden and loved her flowers. She was so thrilled when she was able to see her daughters Wisteria tree bloom. Family meant the world to her. She always looked forward to taking a family trip whether that be camping in the U.P. or going all the way to Disney. For her 30th wedding anniversary, her husband took her on a trip to Hawaii that she never forgot. When she was stuck inside, she would enjoy watching hockey, Indy 500, Kentucky Derby, and golf. Neighbors will always remember her loving and caring nature, the neighborhood children all called her “Grandma”. Services will be held the day before Easter, her favorite holiday. She loved to put out her Easter bunnies, and when her children were younger, she loved dressing her daughters up in brand new dresses to show them off at church.

Jeannette is the beloved wife of 45 years of Steven Brooks. The cherished mother of Jenny (Bilal) Choukeir and Kristin (Brandon) Huggett. Treasured grandmother of Damen, Maya, Trinity, Tyler, Angelica, and Charles. Dear sister of Mary (Robert) Mooi, Suzanne (Kenneth) Prewitt, Margaret (Richard) Tuttle, Carole Stronski, the late Karl Stronski, Gerald Stonski, Sarah (the late Terry) Hammons and Alexandra Paszkowski. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and her loyal golden retriever Tucker.

A visitation for Jeannette will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 2:30 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088.
