Jeff was the beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart, Debbie. The pair first met as teenagers when Jeff became friends with Debbie’s brother. Their friendship quickly blossomed into love, and in November of 1991, they married and began building a life full of adventure, laughter, and memories together.
Jeff had a lifelong passion for motor sports, motorcycles, cars, and drag racing. He and his friends often rented a shop where they not only worked on their bikes but also created a space to gather, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company. Jeff could often be found at car shows or tinkering on new projects, always eager to learn how to build or fix something.
Outside the shop, Jeff and Debbie enjoyed taking walks together on Belle Isle, cherishing the quiet moments as much as the exciting ones. A true animal lover, Jeff had a soft spot for feeding neighborhood squirrels and caring for stray cats. His kindness and big heart extended not just to animals, but to everyone he met. He also loved live music, from Pink Floyd to country, it was the ambience of it all that he enjoyed so dearly.
Known for his social and fun-loving nature, Jeff loved time spent around bonfires, parties, and get-togethers with friends. One of his favorite adventures was traveling in the old school bus that he and his friends converted into a party bus, which became a source of many great memories. He also enjoyed bowling with Debbie as part of a couples league, where the two took first place multiple times. Jeff’s competitive and social spirit carried over into his men’s pool league as well.
Jeff will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loyal friend, and a man who embraced life with passion, generosity, and joy. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.
He was the beloved husband of Debbie. Loving uncle to Jody (Jodi), Jesse (Michelle), Jenny (Keith), Ron (Pam), and Dennis. He was a devoted great uncle of Luke. He was predeceased by his parents Michael & Suzie (nee: Zarnay) Mihal, and his siblings, Mike, Jimmy, and Jeannie.
