Jennifer Lyn Preston, age 36 of Sterling Heights, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born April 13, 1978 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, daughter of Patrick and Norma (nee: Scheer) Preston.Education was an important part of Jennifer's life, and her achievements back that up. In 2000, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Michigan State University,...then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Library Science from Wayne State University in 2006. Jennifer loved reading and writing, so she obviously sought to fulfill a dream and did so with verve and passion.Jennifer loved to travel and was fortunate to add both France and Ireland to her portfolio of excursions. Yet, without question, last year brought one of the most special and memorable trips when she traveled to Pasadena, California to watch her beloved Spartan's compete on New Year's Day at the Rose Bowl. Of all the games she attended over the years, this was truly the pinnacle moment in her support for the boys in green & white. And while referring to MSU and Jennifer, the story just wouldn't be fully told without mentioning the infamous, "Peanut Barrel,"...one" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">...one of her favorite hangouts at school. Her sporting pleasures also included our boys in the winged wheel, the Detroit Red WIngs,...and her favorite boys of summer, the Detroit Tigers. Both provided Jennifer countless hours of entertainment, and the latter became extra-special with each "Opening Day" she was able to enjoy. But of all the special aspects of life that brought her the most joy, the relationship she shared with fiance, Alan was at the top of the list. He was the love of her life and promised in engagement for a special, future day,...one they had dreamed about with eager anticipation. She was a loving daughter, fiance, sister and aunt, and touched a multitude of hearts & lives in her journey through life. Gone far too soon from our presence, she leaves a storehouse of warm & wonderful memories to embrace with each reflection shared. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Jennifer was the beloved daughter of Patrick and Norma Preston. Loving fiancé of Alan Wigodski. Dear sister of Erin Leigh (Michael) Kotowski.
