

Jerome honorably served our country during World War II where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Jerome received his Purple Heart award when he was shot and carried a fellow soldier for 8 hours until they received help. After his tour in the military, Jerome worked for A&P Grocery as a meat cutter for 32 years. He enjoyed making his own sausage and wine. Jerome also enjoyed pheasant hunting, was an avid dog lover, and loved spending time with his grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, and nephews. Jerome was known as an inquisitive man and a bit of a joker. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally by his family and friends.
Jerome was the beloved husband of 68 years to the late Irene. Loving father of Joanne (Dr. Gregory) Keys and Maureen (Timothy) Dawda. Cherished grandfather of Natalie (Nick) Buhay, Holden (Jaimie) Dawda, Emma (Chris) Mikalauskas, and the late Alex Keys. Adored great-grandfather of Julian and Thomas. Dear brother of Marie Syoen and the late Adrienne Reygaert.
Visitation for Jerome will be held Thursday, July 7th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093. He will lie in state on Friday from 10:30am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Rd, Warren, MI 48093. Burial at Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Flat Rock. Memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
