John R. Burdo, age 74 of Warren, died January 8, 2012 at Abbey Nursing Home. John was born September 12, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Ruben and the late Cordelia (nee: Robillard) Burdo. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the U.S.S. Saratoga, U.S.S. Essex, U.S.S. Lake Champlain, and the U.S.S. Forrestal. John was the beloved husband of Deborah, and formerly of Barbara Jean Burdo. Dear father of Darrell (Missie) Burdo, Darla Burdo, Margaret (Kentaro) Yamamoto, Sheila (John) Teheen, Michael Sullivan and the late Nicholas Burdo. Loving grandfather of Chasity, Devin, Savannah, Marshall, Mariko, Lili, abd Ryan. Brother of Shirley Douglas and Carol (Ronnie) Oliver.Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ' Mile Road). Per the wishes of John's last request no services are scheduled.
