John A. Glister, age 64 of Warren, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. John was born on June 18, 1946 in Brownsville, PA, the son of John & Frances Glister. On December 30, 1965, he married Audrey Ostrich of Jefferson, PA. John graduated from Jefferson Morgan High School's Class of 1965, and E.I.P. in Pittsburgh. He was a Senior Metallurgist at Gerdau Macsteel in Monroe, MI. Retired from General Motors and American Axle. He and Audrey loved traveling, his grandchildren, his Camaro's, and "Ellen," his Siamese cat. Beloved husband of Audrey. Dear father of James, David (Dawn), and Susan (Ramon) Glister-Berg. Loving grandfather of Zakary, Aleksa & Hali Fortuna, and Ashleigh & Austin Glister. Brother of Robert (Valerie) of Clarksville, PA and Barbara (Woody) Basinger of Waynesburg, PA. Brother-in-law of Thelma (John) Pushak, Arthur Ostrich, and Raymond (Debbie) Ostrich. Visitation for John will be held on Wednesday, May 11th from 5-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. Interment will take place in Pennsylvania. Please share memories of John at his guestbook.
