John T. Miller age 87, born September 29, 1927 to theReverend Paul F. Miller and Marie Dau Miller, diedpeacefully on October 16, 2014 at his home surrounded byhis dear family.John was the beloved husband for 64 years to his wife Lila;and is the loving father of Karen, Eric (Dana), Kevin (Marti)and LilaJan (Roger Hibbs). Proud grandfather of Danielle,Nicole, David, Michele, Katherine, Melanie, Laura, Eric,Rachael, Clark and Will. Dearest great-grandfather ofParker, Ashton, Cullen, Chloe, Trenton, and Will.John served as an inspring music teacher to thousands ofstudents in the Detroit Public Schools from 1957 to 1987and to hundreds more private students. Devoted churchorganist and choir director for over 70 years. Program chairand announcer for Grosse Pointe Chamber Music for manyyears. Longtime orchestral musician in several communityorchestras. Conductor of the Utica Civic Orchestra for manyyears. Passionate patron of the arts. Long suffering ChicagoCubs fan.A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November8th, 2014 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 26830West Park Street, Roseville MI 48066.Memorial donations are appreciated to Right to Life orW RCJ-FM
