Joseph M. Tyranski, age 55 of Warren, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. He was born on March 21, 1958, son of Donna Bromley and the late Robert Tyranski.A graduate of Utica's Eisenhower High School, Joseph was a proud member of the Class of 1976. Following high school, his search for just the right job landed him at the doorstep of R.S. Harper Custom Coach where he was offered a position in skilled trades, with an emphasis on his specialty work in welding. He worked for the firm from 1978 until 1992, and extended the utmost in dedicated and loyal service until his departure. When he wasn't working, some of Joe's favorite pastimes were those woven around the pleasures and sporting highlights of motorcycles. Along with being an avid Motocross fan, he was also the proud owner of a 1959 Panhead Harley-Davidson, a ride for the truly devoted biker. The Panhead was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle engine, so nicknamed because of the distinct shape of the rocker covers. The engine replaced the Knucklehead engine in 1948 and was manufactured until 1965 when it was replaced by the Shovelhead. As the design of Harley-Davidson engines evolved through the years, the distinctive shape of the valve covers has allowed Harley enthusiasts to classify an engine simply by looking at the shape of the covers, and the Panhead has covers resembling an upside-down pan. He loved his bike, and cherished the moments he got to take his boys for a ride on the hog,...the two-wheeled version, not the pink & squeally kind. Another pastime he enjoyed were the many camping excursions he shared with his sons. Escaping with the boys to the splendor of Michigan's outdoors made for some treasured moments and memories to reflect upon for a lifetime. There were a host of things that Joe held special, but none-so-much as the joys and gathering of family and friends. That was always the pinnacle of his entertainment, to share the best of himself with those most precious to him,...and he did it with style!A loving husband, father, brother and friend, Joseph leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories...shared with so many in so many different ways. The reflections may vary, but the message will resound the same that he cared and loved in his own unique and genuine way. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Joseph was the beloved husband of Nancy. Dear father of Jeremy Tyranski and Joseph Tyranski. Brother of Ann. Visitation for Joseph will be held on Wednesday, February 12th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. His Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday at the funeral home. Please share memories of Joseph at his memory book.
