Kathleen Marie Smith (nee: Zimmerman), age 73 of Shelby Township, Michigan and formerly of Newark, Delaware died Friday, March 12, 2010 at her home. Kathy was born March 22, 1936 in Marion, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Emmory Zimmerman and the late Marie (nee: Benning) Zimmerman. She was raised in Pennsylvania after she married her husband Thomas; the both resided in Delaware for more than 27 years. Kathy worked for many years in the insurance industry as a claims specialist before retiring. When she was not working she enjoyed crocheting and sewing, however spending time with her family was her most rewarding endeavor. Kathy is survived by her beloved husband Thomas R. Smith. She is the dear mother of Edward (Eileen) Pollock, Robert (Donna) Pollack, Alan (Annette) Pollack, and sister of Bob, and Craig. Kathy is also survived by 4 grandchildren. Memorial visitation will be Saturday March 20th, from 2-6 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 mile) in Warren Michigan.
