Kenneth Lyle Conrad

Kenneth Lyle Conrad, much loved husband, father, grandpa, and brother, flew from planet Earth to his Heavenly home on March 4, 2022. Ken had just turned 71 on February 10. He loved and lived a full life, he loved his family, both the two legged and four legged. Ken was born in Detroit, raised in Farmington and was part of the Detroit automotive scene for almost 50 years.

He was a fan of Detroit Muscle Cars, Motown music, and flying low, or high up above the clouds! He has many friends near and far that will miss his fun nature.

To paraphrase St. Paul said, He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept the faith. Though Ken battled kidney disease for over 33 years he never had a ‘poor me’ attitude. In the last days it was his kind heart that failed.

Ken leaves behind his wife of almost 25 years, Kathryn of Howell, MI; children, Kara Conrad (Mike Golden) of Chattanooga, TN; Lauren Weaver (Harry) of Peoria, IL; Joseph Fava of Waterford, MI; grandchildren Elayna Weaver of Ocean Springs, MS; Enzo Fava of Waterford, MI; sister Carol Wakerly of Wixom, MI; brother Don Conrad of Seffner, FL; Ken was preceded in death by his brothers Larry and Bud.

Ken’s ashes will be interned at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in a private ceremony. The family is planning a celebration of Ken’s life when the weather in Michigan is better.
