Liz found joy in life’s simple pleasures and being with those she loved. She was especially proud of being an Oma, and always found ways to spoil her grandchildren.
She had a deep love for camping and spent each summer traveling across Michigan with her beloved husband and family. Whether sitting by the campfire, taking long walks or playing cards, those moments with family and friends brought her the greatest happiness.
Liz was a lifelong member of the Carpathia Club, and enjoyed bowling in her free time.
When her children were younger, she and her husband devoted countless hours to traveling for their sporting events, always being their biggest supporters.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Greg; her children Jessica (Hugo) Castruita and Robert (Shannon) Thomas; grandchildren Lena, Aurelia, Oliver, Clayton, and Sierra; great-grandchildren Freya and Kayce; parents Lorenz and Katharina Dietz; siblings Linda (the late Robert) Schwager and John (Ruth) Dietz; and many nieces and nephews.
