After his service to his country, Mr. Johnson went to work as a wood model maker for Hudson Motor Car and then General Motors Fisher Body Group. He would work for General Motors for 30 years before his retirement in 1990. Mr. Johnson was known to his family and friends as the last of the big tippers. He believed anyone who worked for a living should be overly compensated. This he achieved by always over tipping. He also loved the recognition and attention the servers would give him because those servers knew they would receive a very gracious tip. Lloyd was very social and loved to be the center of attention. He was an avid bowler who enjoyed the camaraderie of friends and sharing a drink at the local bowling alley. He and his wife Nancy loved going to the movies often seeing movies 2 to 3 times a week. Lloyd also was a sports fan. On the weekends it was football, golf, or bowling. During his younger years he boxed, shot tournament archery, and enjoyed shooting guns at the target range. However he was not a hunter, he loved animals, always doting on his familys pets.
