Lloyd T. Scites

Lloyd T. Scites, 83 of Warren, died Monday, April 07, 2008 at St. John Macomb Hospital Center in Warren. Lloyd was born June 18, 1924 in Logan County, West Virginia the son of the late John Scites and the late Elsie (nee: Jordan) Scites. He moved to Detroit Michigan with his family at age 13. After his schooling in Detroit, Lloyd served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of Sergeant. After his military service Lloyd returned to Detroit and worked for over 40 years as a service technician for Sears. When Lloyd was not working he enjoyed hunting, golfing, and bowling. However his favorite time was spent with family and friends socializing at the many parties him and his wife would attend. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sharon (nee: Sauer) Scites. He is also the dearest father of Teri Gnam, Tami Bird (Dave Winslow), Doug (Deanna) Scites, and the loving Grandfather of Lauren, Jaime, Ryan, Branden, Drew, Derian, and Danielle. Also surviving is his brother of Roy (Jane) Scites, and many dear friends. Visitation for Mr. Scites will be Wednesday from 2-9 pm. Funeral Service will be Thursday 11:30 am at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, Warren, Michigan. Officiating the Funeral will be Rev. Pastor Daniel Cave. Interment will be at Cadillac Memorial Cemetery East in Clinton Township, Michigan.
