Margaret Weinand

Weinand, Margaret C., age 70, November 1, 2022. Beloved wife of Ken for 50 years. Dear mother of Kristen (James) Najor and Jaime Weinand. The proudest Oma of Owen and Ethan. As well as a number of loving relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Johannes Pistoor (1965) and mother, Jacoba Sinnema (2009).

Margaret had an incredibly warm heart and more times than not would be found with that great smile on her face. She loved to make everyone feel welcome.

Margaret attended and graduated from Brablec High School in Roseville. It was during this time she met Ken while they cruised Gratiot; and this past June they celebrated 50 Years of marriage with family and loved ones.

Margaret enjoyed camping with Ken and the girls in their popup camper and life long friends. When the time was right they upgraded to a travel trailer and traveled much of the country. Too many to count trips to Florida, including Key West. Across the country and into Canada (outside of Vancouver) to visit her mom and extended family. Up the East Coast and of course all over Michigan.

Margaret was an avid quilter and was fortunate enough to turn her hobby into a job as a quilting instructor for many years. She also enjoyed sewing and ceramics. There was not a craft that she could not make.

Margaret wore many ‘hats’ in her life, dental assistant, teachers aide, quilt instructor; her favorites were wife, Mom and Oma.

She will be greatly missed.

Visitation Friday, November 4, 2022 from 4-8pm and Saturday 10am until time of a 12pm Service at D.S. Temrowski & Sons, 30009 Hoover Rd., Warren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
