

Marie Monica Parowski (nee: Maslyk) 'Mania', age 86, a longtime resident of Warren and formerly of Oak Park, died February 1, 2012 at her home in Warren. Marie was born on June 17, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Francis and Sophie (nee: Solecki) Maslyk. She was raised in Hamtramck and graduated from Hamtramck High School. Marie worked as a Secretary for many years however prided herself on being a wonderful homemaker and mother. While raising her family she became quite a seamstress sewing most of her children's clothing along with many of her beautiful dresses she would wear to impress. She also was a puzzles solver who enjoyed jig-saw puzzles, along with word search and crossword puzzle solving. Mrs. Parowski never shied away from home improvement and could be found painting or fixing odd jobs around her home.Marie's quiet time around her home consisted of watching Football, Wheel of Fortune, or solving word search puzzles. She did love to keep a very clean, neat home and fondly cooked for her family. She would always remind her children to take off their shoes while in the house. Marie cherished her family and grandchildren. One of her greatest joys in life was to see how the grandchildren were growing into fine adults.When Marie and her late husband Vic were in their prime years they both loved to travel, take cruises, and visit the casinos. Marie was truly the life of the party who enjoyed dancing and being surrounded by her friends.Mrs. Parowski was the beloved wife of the late Victor R. Parowski II, and dearest mother of Sharon (Brett) Roth, Victor III (Marina) Parowski, Pamela Parowski, and Roger (Heidi) Parowski. Loving grandmother of Michael, Lindsay (Joseph III) Rossi, Victor IV 'Robby', Emilia, Ashten, Sarah, Julie, Matthew Parowski, Nicholas, and the late Joie Parowski. Cherished great-grandmother of Elena, Joseph IV, Josephine, and Olivia. Also surviving is her sister of Angela (Terrence) Malino. Memorial visitation for Mrs. Parowski will be Saturday from 12:30-3pm, with 3pm Memorial Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ' Mile).
