Marilyn Joyce Breckels, age 66, died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Ascension St. John Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Marilyn was born April 29, 1954 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, daughter of John Campbell and Leona (nee: DeClercq) Campbell.
Marilyn was raised in Clinton Township, Michigan, and graduated from Chippewa Valley High School. Following high school, Marilyn continued her studies a Baker College where she attained her Bachelor's Degree.
Marilyn worked at Providence Hospital in Southfield before relocating to St. John Hospital in Detroit. She worked for over 27 years as a medical transcriptionist before her retirement.
While working at St. John Hospital, Marilyn met her future husband Paul. The couple were married on September 16, 2000 at St. Peter's Church in Harper Woods, Michigan. Eventually, Marilyn and Paul made their home in Warren.
When Marilyn was not working, she was a "homebody" who enjoyed her time at home with her husband and Beagle dog, Christy. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching her television shows and shopping on QVC. She will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who left us all too soon.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of Paul Breckels, and dear sister of Marlene Dennis and Robert Campbell (Rosie). Marilyn is also survived by her nieces, Kimberly, Andrea, Tracy, and grandnephew and nieces, Simon, Kayleigh, Angel, and Emmalynn.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren.
