Mrs. Hamby was born in Georgia in 1927, she died February 25, 2007 at the age of 79. She is the beloved wife of the late Walter "Red" Hamby and daughter of the late Levi and Ruby (nee: Tilley) Barnes. She is the loving mother of Betty Sue Henderson, Christine Brown, Mary Beth Hull, Jo (Larry) Fish, Brenda (Jerry) Dillon, Glenda (Mike) Fournier, Sandy House (Joey) and Walter "Tony" Hamby. She was the devoted grandmother of 24, great grandmother of 39, and great great grandmother of 1. She was the dear sister of Ann (Bobby) Fowler, Raynell Lyle and Paul Barnes; and niece of Mary (nee: Tilley) Goble. Mrs. Hamby was predeceased by her brother James Dial and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Candy. Funeral services were held at the funeral home with Pastor James Bostic officiating. Mrs. Hamby was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery with her husband "Red".
