

Mary Ann Blake Ann, age 66 a longtime resident of Grosse Pointe, entered eternal life Thursday, April 07, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born into life on December 06, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Bernard I. Stechschulte and Mary (nee: Fitzpatrick) Stechschulte. Mary Ann Blake was raised in Redford and graduated from Redford St. Marys High School. She worked for many years with her two brothers as a sales representative at Steck-Schulte Supply in Warren. Ann was a beautiful person inward and outward. She was devoted to her family and her Catholic faith, and also cherished her husband, children, grandchildren, and family. Mary Ann Blake was the cherished wife of William F. Blake, and the dearest mother of Patricia (Atanas) Ilitch and Brian Blake. She was also the loving grandmother of Christian, Patrick, and Blake Ilitch, and beloved daughter of Bernard and Mary Ann Stechschulte. She was the dear sister of Patricia (Charles) Albus, Bernadette (James) Wegerly, Michael (Patricia) Stechschulte, and the late James (the late Margaret) Stechschulte. A memorial gathering will be held Thursday April 14th, 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 15020 Hampton Street Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230, until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Ambrose Catholic Church and The Salvation Army. Please share memories of Mrs. Blake at her guest book.
