

Mary Laskowski, age 81 a 51 year resident of Warren, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. Mary was born November 02, 1924 in Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Thomas Blazona and the late Anastazia (nee: Drzanic) Blazona. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry P. Laskowski. Dear mother of Gary P. (Karen), Kathryn M. (Bill) Wampler. Dearest sister of Irma Moore of Escondido, California. Loving grandmother of Shawn P., Mitchell R., and Alexis A. Great grandmother of Madelyn J., and William P. During the depression Marys family moved their family back to Yugoslavia and then returned to the United States, moving to Detroit. Mary worked for seven years at Chryslers Dodge Main plant as a gear inspector, before starting her family. She married her husband in 1949 and raised her family in Warren. Mary was a stay at home mother. She never learned to drive but always found ways to provide for her children and their activities. She was devoted to her Catholic Church and family. Mary loved her ethnic heritage, polish music, polish cooking, and all the holidays spent cooking and spending time with family. Mary also loved tending to the outside of her house, planting her marigolds or trimming her rose bushes. Her family will remember her as a generous, happy, loving woman, who never complained. Visitation for Mary will be Sunday from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 mile). A Rosary will be said Sunday at 7 pm. Mrs. Laskowski will lie in State Monday 9:30 am, at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 14057 East Nine Mile, in Warre, until the time of the funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Clinton Township. Please share memories at her guest book.
