Mary Michalski

Mary Michalski, age 97 of Warren, died Monday, July 16, 2007 at St. John Macomb Hospital Center in Warren. Mary was born December 02, 1909 in Austria, the daughter of the late Edward and the late Elizabeth Baumgartner. Mary and her family came to the United States during World War I, settling in Hamtramck Michigan. Mary was preceded in death by husbands Raymond Michalski, George Semenoff and Russell McNeilly; her parents Edward and Elizabeth Baumgartner, her brother Frank and her son Russell McNeilly and his wife Margaret. She will be deeply missed by her surviving sons Robert McNeilly, Donald (Judith) McNeilly; stepson Robert (Vicki) Semenoff; grandchildren Cheryl (Mark) Roewer, Lori Locke, Robert (Dawn) McNeilly, John (Ann) McNeilly, Jeffrey (Catherine) McNeilly and Lisa (William) Autrey and her 9 great-grandchildren and 1great great-grandchild. She is also survived by her loving sister, Frieda McNeilly, and her beloved nephews and nieces and their families. A hard working woman, Mary worked for many years at Farmcrest Bakery before retiring 32 years ago. Fiercely independent, her example of how to live was admired by all who knew her. Mary was a simple woman who wanted for very little, but cherished her family and grandchildren. Her granddaughter remembers fondly her grandmothers love of spending time at her Canadian cottage, having friends and family over, and cooking her chocolate pancakes. Visitation for Mary will be Thursday from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 mile). Funeral Services will be held Friday 10 am at the funeral home. Officiating the Funeral Service will be Rev. Roger Facione. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit. Share memories of Mary at her guest book.
