Melissa Lynn Blake

Melissa L. Blake, age 25 of Macomb Township, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Melissa was the beloved daughter of Nola Blake and Irving Mills, Melissa was born on December 21, 1983 in Warren, Michigan. Melissa's time on Earth may have been too short, but all the joy she brought to those who knew her will always be remembered. Her family will cherish the memories of the little girl with "Big, Pretty Brown Eyes!" Melissa loved the time family & friends would read to her. She was also renown for her propensity of "grabbing the spotlight" and being the center of attention. But of all her passions, Melissa loved everything to do with water. She soaked up the joy & pleasure of sitting in refreshing, warm pools. Also Melissa enjoyed the "sound" of water through the soothing escapes in her ocean music collection. The sounds of waves were especially comforting to her. Along with her parents, Nola & Irving, Melissa is survived by her sister, Dawn (Jason) Pfeifle and her grandparents, Shirley Blondia and Robert (Becky) Bryant. Visitation for Melissa will be on Monday, June 15 from 4:30pm to 9:00pm, with a Memorial Service at 7:00pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Warren. Officiating the Funeral Services will be Pastor Tracy Herald.
