Mildred Mary "Millie" Scott

Mildred Mary Scott "Millie", age 98 died Friday December 13, 2013 in Fraser Michigan at the Sanctuary at Fraser Villa. Millie was born September 7, 1915 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Hattie (nee: Pieper) Droste.Millie was a volunteer at St. Joseph Home for the Aged in Detroit for over 50 years, she was a lifetime member of the Fontbonne Auxiliary of St. John Hospital, and Carelink Member. Other memberships included the St. Bonaventure 3rd Order of Secular Franciscans, the St. Thomas More Secular Franciscan Fraternity, the League of Catholic Woman for over 50 years, the Seraphic Mass Association at the Capuchin Monastery, and the Wayne County Retirees Club. Millie's most cherished membership was to be a lifetime member of the Fr. Solanus Casey Guild... Millie and her late husband George would hand out literature at every turn regarding Fr. Casey. Millie herself was a miracle child of Fr. Solanus Casey.Millie was the beloved and cherished wife of the late George her "Honey" Scott. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends from her Catholic Community at St. Martin de Porres.Visitation for Millie will be Monday December 16th from 1-5pm with a 3pm A.C.W.C. Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road). Millie will lie in state Tuesday 9am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny. Private interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.Memorial donations in Millie's name are appreciated to the Capuchin Fathers or Masses to be said at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.
