Mitchell Stanley Kurkowski, age 88 of Warren, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home. He was born November 21, 1926 in Hamtramck, son of the late Walter and the late Eve Kurkowski.Mitchell was the dear father of Deborah (Robert) Cornacchio, Carolyn (Anthony) Moceri, Mitchell (Kathleen) Kurkowski, and Gary Kurkowski. Loving grandfather of Stacey (Ken) Funk, Brian Cornacchio, Nichole (Jeremy) Brown, Austin Kurkowski, Riley Kurkowski, Johnathon Moceri, Marina Moceri, and great-grandfather of Mason Funk. Visitation for Mitchell will be held Monday, May 4th from 3-9pm, with an evening Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. He will lie in state Tuesday from 11:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 12 noon at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 1087 E. Gardenia Drive in Madison Heights.
