

Nancy La Rue, of Harrison Township, formerly of Roseville, passed away on September 12, 2023 at Henry Ford Main surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born on January 26, 1948 in Hanover Pennsylvania to Arthur and Nancy Hagan.
She dedicated her life to being a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, friend, and mentor to many. Nancy was known to be funny, loving, kind and always free of judgement. She was also renowned for her beautiful gardens, wonderful cooking, and her deep dedication to animals.
Nancy is survived by her son Steven Brashears; husband Lawrence Brashears; brother Leo Ross Hagan (Jo); sister-in-law Jeanie; nieces and nephews Jim (Val, Anthony, Sierra), Rick (Jamie, Tommy), Teresa, Jon (Marie, Anna, Violet) and Sandy.
Beyond blood family, she is survived by many friends and the “kids” that passed through her door and became family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son Christopher Lee, mother Nancy, father Arthur, brother Earl and her dear friends Marie, Nina, Libby and Charlotte.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to Nancy at a visitation and viewing at AH Peters Funeral Home (32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088) on Thursday, September 21st from 2pm -8pm.
A funeral wake will be held the following day, Friday, September 22nd, from 9am-10:45am, followed by a service at 11:00 am at Faith Baptist Church (34950 Little Mack Ave, Clinton Township, MI 48035). All friends and family are welcome to stay after the service for a luncheon hosted by the church.
Following the lunch, the family will attend a burial at Roseland Park Cemetery (29001 Woodward Ave, Berkley, MI 48072) scheduled for 3pm. Friends are welcome as well, but there will be no procession. Those who wish to attend we will be meeting just inside the cemetery entrance.
