Norbert Leo Andrzejewski

Norbert Leo Andrzejewski went to be with his Lord and Savior and was joyfully reunited with his beloved wife, Mame, on August 25, 2025, at the age of 91. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family and love.

Born and raised in Detroit in 1934, Norb lived a life grounded in faith, family, and service. In 1954, he married the love of his life, Marion Rose “Mame” Andrzejewski. Together, they shared 62 beautiful years of marriage until her passing in 2016. Their union was a shining example of steadfast love and devotion.

A proud and loving father, Norb is survived by his children: David (Carmel) Andrzejewski, Dianne (Thomas) Stimac, Doreen (Gary) Spader, and Reverend Darryl (Kristen) Andrzejewski. He was the proud “Papa” of Michael (Dr. Sara Brostek) Andrzejewski, Adam (Krista) Spader, Tommy (Danielle) Stimac, Kelli Andrzejewski, Nikki (Jay) Isrow, David (Caroline) Stimac, Sarah (Joel) Sobers, A.J. Stimac, Megan (Jeremy) Bamford, Joshua (Trisha) Andrzejewski, David (Brooke) Andrzejewski, Rev. Jakob (Rachel) Andrzejewski, Nick (Jacqueline) Andrzejewski, and Rachel Andrzejewski.

Norb’s legacy continues through his cherished great-grandchildren: Dean, Gavin, Madelyn, Lorelei, Lillianna, Olivia, Mason, Tyler, Levi, Benjamin, Cameron, Caleb, Hannah, Landon, Logan, Jayden, Lena, Nico, and Blake—with two more blessings on the way.

A devout Lutheran, Norb never missed a Sunday morning service. His faith was unwavering and deeply rooted in every aspect of his life. He proudly served as a store manager at Federal’s Department Store for 25 years and later continued his career for another 20 years at Nordlie, a florist supplier, where his leadership and kindness left a lasting impression.

Norbert was a man whose life centered around faith, family, and quiet strength. He will be remembered for his warm heart, steady presence, deep love for his family, and enduring devotion to God.

A visitation for Norbert will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48088. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church, 1345 Gratiot Ave, Detroit, MI 48207. Gathering at the church begins at 10:00 AM.

Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
