

Norbert C. Kulesza age 96, died January 2, 2011 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Norbert was born May 06, 1914 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Joseph Kulesza and the late Josephine (nee: Redlin) Kulesza. He was raised in Detroit and worked for Alcoa and then Chrysler Motors for over 25 years before retiring. In retirement he returned to work as a custondian for Henry Ford High School in Detroit, where he worked for more than 10 years until finally retiring. Mr. Kulesza was a true gentleman who cherished his family and the simple things in life. He enjoyed tending to his yard, traveling, helping his neighbors, and occasionally fishing. He was never a person to complain or ever say a bad word regarding anyone. He was a man who would do for others before himself... the saying "He would give the shirt off his back for another", truly fit Norbert. Norbert was the beloved husband of the late Julia Kulesza, and the dear father of Lucille (Robert) Duyck, and Norbert Jr. (Marsha) Kulesza. He is also the loving grandfather of Richard (Maureen) Pruss, Kimberly (Linus) Isabell, Lori (Gilbert) Holbrook, Mark (Carmen) Kulesza, Amy Kulesza, and Great-grandfather of Grant Holbrook, Alexandra Isabell, and Norbert Kulesza. Visitation for Mr. Kulesza will be Wednesday from 3-9pm with an evening Vigil at 7pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). Mr. Kulesza will lie in state Thursday 9am at St. Blas Catholic Church, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 9:30am. Celebrating the Funeral LIturgy will be Rev. Fr. Randy Philips.
