

Olga J. Tocco (nee: Sokol), of Warren formerly of Hamtramck, died Friday, December 23rd at Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren. Mrs. Tocco was born December 11, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of the late John Sokol and the late Stella Stefanie (nee: Kowalski) Sokol. She moved to Michigan where she would eventually marry her late husband Sam Tocco who many would remember as the owner of Modern Seat Cover Company in Hamtramck. Mr. and Mrs. Tocco resided for many years in Hamtramck where they would raise there family. Mrs. Tocco would work for her husbands company and also at the local creamery as a cashier. Mrs. Tocco is the dearest mother of Louise (Carl) Rasche, Sam (Leona) Tocco, Linda (Tom) Biondo, Margaret (Robert) Goga, and John Tocco. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Tocco volunteered for many years at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, where she will be remembered at the hospital as Mrs. Santa Claus, dressing up and entertaining the patients. Her family remembers their mother saying this was her favorite time of year. Also she was a member of the Polish National Alliance Lodge 1758, and the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 4404. Mrs. Tocco remained very active belonging to many organizations, and she was a bit of a family trouble maker stirring the pot and then taking pleasure watching conflicts unfold. Visitation for Mrs. Tocco will be Monday December 26th from 5-9 pm and Tuesday 2-9 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
