

Peggy was married to Donald Raymond Measel Sr., for fifty-six years. They shared an amazing love, beautiful marriage, and a wonderful life together. Their unwavering love for each other was the foundation upon which their family was built. Peggy was immensely proud of her family and she always shared those sentiments with her acts of kindness, her unconditional love, her words of reassurance, and her constant joyful chorus of “I Love You”.
Peggy was a kind, gracious, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend. She was also a faithful Christian and life-long member of the New Apostolic Church.
Peggy immersed herself in sewing, crafting, gardening, remodeling, event planning, and any opportunity for family gatherings, she was also an amazing cook. As the family matriarch she used any excuse available to bring her family together. Her love for family kept her busy planning family vacations, her favorite vacations spots were Longboat Key, Hilton Head Island and above all she enjoyed spending time with her family in Orlando, Florida at many of the Walt Disney World Resorts.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband Donald Raymond Measel Sr., her oldest son Donald Jr. & his wife Trisha, second oldest son Scott and his wife Michelle, and her loving daughter, Robyn and her husband Mike. She is also survived by her loving and devoted grandchildren Lauren, Bradley, Evan, Ashley, Tyler, Rachel and Rebecca. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Collin and her sister Sandy. Peggy cherished and loved her other family members including Phyllis and (Gary) Niehaus, and Gary and (Carol) Measel.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the New Apostolic Church, located at 37800 Utica Rd, Sterling Heights, Michigan. This memorial service will celebrate the life of our beloved Peggy J. Measel, with family visitation between 10:30 -11:00 am, followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am, and immediately following the service a luncheon fellowship for all to attend in celebration of her life.
