Raymond Grifka, age 88 of Warren, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. Raymond was born in Minden City, MI on June 4, 1921, the son of the late Frank and the late Laura Grifka. Raymond was known to many as "Ray the Barber" for over 50 years. He was also a proud WWII Navy Vet and a resident of Warren for 48 years. Raymond was the beloved husband of Ruth for 63 years. He was the dear father of Diane (Hal) Almand, Dean (Sharon), Dennis (Mary Jo), and Raymond (Michelle). He was the devoted grandfather of Steven, Lisa, Graham, Todd, Joel, Alex, Gabe, Marisa, and Ryan and great grandfather of Candace, Samantha, Eliza, and Zachary. He is also survived by his sister, Bernice (Jack) Gryczka. Visitation for Raymond wil be held on Monday from 3-9 pm with a 7:30 pm Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). Raymond will lie In State on Tuesday at 9:30 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
