Richard J. Lada, age 75 of Warren, died March 23, 2015 at Genesis Elder Care in Warren. He was born December 4, 1939 in Hamtramck, son of the late Peter and the late Stella (nee: Senkowski) Lada.Richard was employed in the human resources department at Chrysler Corporation. When he wasn't working, and into his retirement years, one of Richard's favorite pasttimes included the sport of hunting. His prize hunting trophy was a 300 pound black bear that was taken on a hunting trip to Canada. He enjoyed watching the popular television show, Michigan Outdoors to hone his outdoor skills. Another of his outdoor favorites was enjoying a good game of golf. A sunny day on the links was always a special time for Richard. In addition to Richard's love for the outdoors, he also enjoyed the simple pleasures of gardening where he poured the best part of his horticultural nurturing into his tomatoes and peppers. Richard was also a man who found great enjoyment spending time with family and friends. Richard looked forward to two big events every year. One was the annual trip to Frankenmuth with family and friends, and the second was his annual Fourth of July party and barbeque. But nothing brought him more joy than attending ball games with his son, Brian. Those father & son moments were cherished beyond measure, and captured memorably in his heart. And speaking of captured, Richard was rarely ever far away from his favorite tool,...his treasured camera. He loved capturing all of life's precious moments on film, and reflecting back on the countless family & friend memories the photographs afforded. A loving husband, father and brother, Richard leaves behind a storehouse of memories to embrace with each reflection shared, and a legacy of love that will be forever remembered by those who were blessed to know him. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally. He was the beloved husband of Janice. Loving father of Brian, Samantha, and Pamela (Christopher) Schilkey.
