Richard Ray Dick McRill, 79, of Roseville and Sterling Heights, died Sunday, June 12. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy (Dot); daughters Terry Lynn (John) Minnis and Kristine Ann (Walter) Beaver; three grandchildren, Lauren (fianc Corey McGregor), Lindsay and Matthew Beaver; two sisters, Sue (Wayne) Bruhn and Sharon (the late Kenneth) Diesselhorst; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his good friend, Fremont Sonny Beaver. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Evelyn (Stephens) McRill. Dick retired from the Masco Corp., where he worked as foreman in shipping and receiving. Prior to that, he was a set-up man and, as shop steward, was a proud member of the United Auto Workers. Dick enjoyed going to the casino, playing the lottery and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren, including watching the Detroit Tigers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile), in Warren. He will lie in state on Wednesday, June 15, from 9:30 a.m. until the celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Donald Catholic Church, 16330 12 Mile Road, east of Groesbeck, in Roseville.
